Hi friends,
Two weekends ago, I tried to go gold prospecting on a river about an hour and a half from my house. Long story short, the dirt roads owned by the National Forest Service were gated off and I could not get to the claim on the river.
So I decided to check out a desert claim instead, though I had never been there and did not have proper prospecting gear for the desert as I was planning to be on a river. The sand was also damp, which made prospecting even more challenging.
Well, I took a little sand home that day and finally found time to pan it out last weekend. Here is what I ended up with:
Yes, 4 measly specks of gold. Oh well, I had an adventure and got some exercise so it was worth it.

Fun day out, but next time I will get more gold!
