I know right - I was expecting some leather skin covers and proper knopkierries, I know that this style of fighting has always been a cultural practice, but I never imagined it to be a club sport with padded sticks. was strange to see. Was still fun to watch people beat each other with sticks though - the armored medieval fighting was even better - there they at least had real swords and you could here the impact on the metal - there was no stabbing allowed though :(
