This phrase goes two ways...
First, which I think most people are familiar with, as an excuse to be lame sitting in apathy
Second, when you have to tell someone no because your life is filled with actually responsibilities you have chosen.
Which ever it is, nearly all people I have experienced use this phrase.
If you have use this phrase - why? do you actually like what you have chosen to fill your life with?
Do yourself a favor and think about something you actually want to implement into your life in the next month. It could be something as simple as hanging out with a friend, going fishing, doing something special with your kid...whatever it is you actually have to shut down your computer/netflix, think, then make a plan/communicate.
Seems novel - but I am consistently challenged by the amount of things people want to do that sit in blah land and do apathy instead.
My wife and daughter deserted me for 5 days to go on vacation, and I had to stare down 5 days of 'busy' because I had to entertain a 4/6/8 year old boy...So we choose to be busy with things we actually wanted to do...some of which was me forcing the boys that this would be fun...
So we had an adventure...had to balance out the work scheudle...but at the end of the day made a plan to be 'busy' at the sake of investing into my kids and doing something we wouldn't normally do...went camping, and saw real race cars.
Go make a choice! Input something into your life that you want...
