The pain that comes with love, commitment, sacrifice is real. Choosing it is powerful. When you choose it once, it does not become easier the next time. After 11 years of marriage I am finding it is however getting put into perspective.
My wife and I spent the evening chatting over fondue last night over the choices we have made and what we are dreaming about next. We were shocked walking away from the evening at the power and weight we feel within the context of our marriage.
We will both have the honor of continuing to choose love, commitment and sacrifice - but the pain is nothing compared to the treasure we are finding within each other.
