It's really cool to see cocoa in its raw form. And I can imagine the appeal for tourists to tear at the plants for closer inspection or a souvenir. The sign is warranted, I'm sure!

The local legend is interesting, as well. It makes for a good story and photo opportunity, if nothing else.
