What's up folks, welcome to a new post, on this occasion I bring you a new artwork a little different, because this time I did not make any sketch, originally I wanted to make an oil type effect but I did not leave in the least, so I decided to blur and give more shape and detail to the drawing, the original idea was to make a drawing without a sketch which fulfilled a desert landscape but I wanted to draw a beard to the character and nothing did not stick that way.

Que pasa compañeros, sean bienvenidos a un nuevo post, en esa ocasión les traigo un nuevo trabajo artístico un poquito diferente, pues esta vez no realice ningún boceto, originalmente quería hacer un efecto tipo oleo pero no me salio en lo mas mínimo, así que decidí difuminar y darle mas forma y detalle al dibujo, la idea original era hacer un dibujo sin boceto cosa que cumplí con un paisaje desértico pero quise dibujarle una barba al personaje y nada no pegaba de esa forma.

Normally I make a sketch, however, as I was bored and did not want to make another portrait I wanted to do something without rules and pure imagination, as I just mentioned I was trying to get an effect similar to oil on digital, but do not even come close, I'll try to find some oil effect, to configure the brush, because I want to practice more that painting because I think it's pretty, but I'll bring that in another post, because I was not getting close to me at all, I had to improvise again and blur the painting, to give a semi-realistic effect.

Normalmente suelo realizar un boceto, sin embargo como estaba aburrido y sin ganas de hacer otro retrato quise hacer algo sin reglas y pura imaginación, como les acabo de mencionar estaba tratando de conseguir un efecto parecido al oleo en digital, pero ni me acerque, igual tratare de buscar algún efecto oleo, para configurar el pincel, pues quiero practicar mas ese pintado porque me parece bastante bonito, pero eso ya lo traeré en otro post, ya que no me me estaba acercando en lo mas mínimo, asi que tuve que volver a improvisar y difuminar el pintado, para darle un efecto semi realista.

However, the semi-realistic effect I was looking for was not so easy because it was quite difficult to define the figure of the character, because the brush I was using was a fine tip watercolor type and that was another problem to solve, but if we compare it with the hair it was much easier, the real challenge was to make the hair, because I had to redo it twice because it did not look good and it seemed anything but what I wanted, the second attempt I complained better because the locks of hair I made were longer so it looked more natural.

Sin embargo el efecto semi realista que buscaba no fue tan fácil pues estuvo bastante difícil poder definir la figura del personaje, porque el pincel que estaba usando era de tipo acuarela de punta fina y bueno fue otro problema mas para solucionar, pero si lo comparamos con el pelo fue mucho mas fácil, el verdadero reto fue lograr hacer el pelo, pues tuve que re hacerlo dos veces ya que no quedaba bien parecía cualquier cosa menos lo que yo quería, al segundo intento si quejo mejor porque los mechones de pelo que hice estaban mas largos por lo que se veía mas natural.

The shadows in this work I placed them in the lower left side, because the light came from the upper right side, I had to place enough shadows, especially the shadows created by the beard, obviously trying to give it that semi realistic effect I was looking for, after adding all the necessary details for the drawing, to give it the necessary depth both in the nose, eyes and cheekbones, we started to paint the shadows generated by the beard and the hair.

La sombras en este trabajo las coloque en la parte baja a la izquierda, pues a luz venia de la parte superior derecha, tenia que colocar bastantes sombras, sobre todo las sombras creadas por la barba, obviamente tratando de darle ese efecto semi realista que buscaba, luego de añadir todos los detalles necesarios para el dibujo, de darle la profundidad necesaria tanto en la nariz, ojos y pómulos, comenzamos a pintar las sombras generadas por la barba y el pelo.

As for the light, it was a little bit more complicated, because remember that the shape of the character is a little bit blurred, so nothing, I had to place glows in a couple of times until I got the effect I wanted, the glows had to go on top of the shadows obviously, also in the nose, in some parts of the beard and hair, also we had to add the ones of shadows and glows to the eye because it looked very flat and ready.

En cuanto a la luz, fue un poquito mas complicado, pues recuerden que la forma del personaje esta un poquito difuminada algo borrosa, asi que pues nada, tuve que colocar brillos en un par de veces hasta que conseguí el efecto que quería, los brillos debian ir arriba de las sombras obviamente, tambien en la nariz, en algunas parte de la barba y el pelo, ademas debiamos añadir los de talles de sombras y brillos al ojo porque se veia muy plano y listo.

Once the painting was finished, I had to blur the figure of the character to remove the blurred parts and add some small details that were missing, such as some small shadows on the nose and the nostril, also to add some depth to the eye and give it the shine it needed in the iris of the eye.

Una vez termine el pintado, debía difuminar la figura del personaje para quitar las partes borrosas y agregar algunos pequeños detalles que faltaban, como algunas pequeña sombra en la nariz y en el orificio nasal, también añadirle algo de profundidad al ojo y darle los brillos que necesitaba en el iris del ojo.

The background was originally going to be a desert, but I decided to change it to a snowy landscape, and add a small long frozen one, with a small forest in the background, finally I just added more spotlights to illuminate everything.

El fondo originalmente iba a ser un desierto pero decidí cambiarlo a un paisaje de nieve, y añadirle un pequeño largo congelado, con un pequeño bosque en el fondo, por ultimo solo añadí mas brillos en forma de focos para iluminar todo.

Even though it was all improvised, the final result was very nice, I hope you liked it.
