With the difficult and non-forgiving Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the first quarter for the RPG enthusiast is already a success. Yet there are still a lot of upcoming RPGs on the calendar and i tell you which you should keep an eye on!

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

Missing more and more information about the upcoming Mount & Blade title. What the peoples look like, how the storming of a castle works and what graphic splendor gamers can expect.

A hard release date does not yet have the game, but with the progress made over the past few months, that announcement will not take much longer. The free world of Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord should not be missed in the list of upcoming RPGs to keep an eye on.

Greedfall

A combination of magic, shooting, sword fighting and especially a lot of diplomatic interaction will cover a large part of the playing time.

In the game you are part of a colonial army that discovers an island and then occupies it to make natural minerals its own. Not only does this lead to quarrel with the local residents, but also the magical creatures are not waiting for people who disrupt their connection with the island.

In this way you have to make a choice who keeps you a friend and who you point the door. Every decision has an impact on your playing world, which will lead to another end. So do you choose to talk to everyone with a golden tongue, or do you let your weapons speak for you? The choice is yours in this addition in the list of upcoming RPGs to keep an eye on.

Sea of Thieves

One of the other upcoming RPGs to keep an eye on is the pirate game Sea of Thieves. That the hijackers with their boats were a popular theme, appeared with the release of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. In Sea of Thieves you can completely go your own way and navigate the open ocean on your own or with others.

Instead of a large walkable map, the world of Sea of Thieves is just one gigantic pool of water with many exploratory islands. Once you have a crew together, you will first have to learn to sail before you can throw out your sails and set course. And even then the question is where to go!

In Sea of Thieves it is possible to set good luck and explore islands, but that is looking for a needle in a haystack. Buying (or finding) a treasure map increases your chances of finding a treasure properly, but even then you will have to determine the exact location on the basis of drawings. The perfect opportunity for another player to steal your treasure map and get away with your collected supplies!

State of Decay 2

With The Walking Dead as a series that has not been focusing on carnivorous zombies for a while, it is soon time to take matters into their own hands. In State of Decay 2 you can show Rick and the rest how to make a decent establishment against zombies and survivors.

In two months (22 May) the time has finally come. State of Decay then comes out for the Xbox One and PC (Windows 10 exclusively for now). Are you taking it up as a survivor on your own against the undead and bandits, or are you defending a fortress made? In the case of the latter you will also have to take into account the supply of stocks. Because if the food runs out....

Vampyr

Have you spent most of your life trying to save lives as a doctor, you are transformed into a vampire and your only hope for survival is to put your teeth in necks. It happens to main character Jonathan Reid in the upcoming RPG Vampyr and you will be in his shoes from 5 June.

While the population of London fears an outbreak of epidemic, the streets are also plagued by a bloodthirsty murderer who drains his victims. Unfortunately, the misery does not stop there, because bitten people return to the world as a bloodthirsty monster who then also opens the hunt for people.

While you try to keep your blood thirst under control (or not), you go after the emergence of the epidemic and you also try to find out who is responsible for your transformation to vampire. Certainly one of the upcoming RPGs that you have to keep an eye on if you like big, open worlds.
