Swift is the inter-bank money transfer software that until recently was used by all banks to transfer funds.
XRP initially planned to work with SWIFT, but has now taken a more forward approach & is basically bypassing the old system.
With more than 100 banks on board the early steps have been taken and by the new year, XRP looks set to dominate that market segment.
