As an extention to Chrome browser, Tippin is set to transform the concept of an 'upvote'.

Instead of just showing support, users of twatter can now sent small 'tips' to authors they like.
Sounds a bit like steem, except the number of users involved is huge, something steem has failed to achieve so far.
Building a user base is the critical element for any tech platform.

Failure to achieve mass volume is called crossing the chasm, and bleeding edge tech does not do it.
Making it easy for users to sign up & join the platform, and then retaining them by not dictating the usage (good or bad) is what build user numbers. Over the years many 'great tech' companies & products have come & gone or never made it over the chasm.

Steem needs to put their self appointed 'content police' bots back in the box. Free speech is just that, who gets to decide what is or isn't valid is the big brother approach of FB & twatter, and will be their downfall in time, having Tippin won't stop that. Steem has an opportunity to pick up where they left off.
Content policing ( a great PC concept in some ways) won't work, if mass adoption is the aim. The rewards come later.
