Whilst it is good that the crypto industry as a whole has rules & guidelines so developers and investors know the "rules of the game",, the application of "horse & wagon" rules may not fit with the advancing technology.
However this article implies that all the old rules re contracts do apply.
And it seems that smart contract devs need to understand the differences in an "event contract" and to steer clear of them.
