if getting your login info on FB was bad news, then this is worse.
ID theft is the next boom industry where everything is based on computer records.
Imagine proving who you are after someone altered that info so you were no longer you.
So how bad can it get? The most valuable ID is probably the passport, and when hotel chains lack security to keep that info safe what are we to do?
Given even the NSA has been breached, computer security is not an option.
Perhaps hotels and other need to delete rather than store the information.
Perhaps blockchain can offer a solution.
It seems that this hotel chain is "happy" that only 383 million records could have been taken.
