Germany has hit a great benchmark in the move to use renewable power.
With plans to eliminate Nuclear power in the not to distant future.
Can or will the follow the lead of South Australia and install battery banks to supplement their wind and solar.
Or perhaps they will leap frog and setup a solar pumped (daytime) / hydro (nighttime) system.
Known for their innovation, hopefully Germany can lead the rest of EU out of the 'dark ages' of coal power.
