The Central Banks of Canada and Singapore have completed a trial of cross border transfers.
What is interesting is they have not used a 'standard' crypto like BTC or XRP, but fairly proprietary blockchains.
Whilst this was only a test per the article, it would seem that Swift maybe on the way out for such transfers.
Given that S3 was used by one party is also interesting, since that has relations to XRP.
Why banks are trying to create their own blockchains may not seem obvious until it is considered that BTC is a distributed blockchain, whilst the banks want to 'own' the systems they use, in a similar way to how fiat systems work.
It would apear that they may be swimming against the tide.
Time will tell
