Whilst not exactly a fair comparison, the stats show BTC outperforming by a factor of almost 2x. 1.3T vs 0.5B
However much of the difference could be attributed to BTC volumes including investors as well as transactions, while Paypal is transactions only.
Perhaps this is a lead in to paypal adopting blockchain payments?
They hinted at it many years ago.
