Notice that Roy is not saying you cannot or don't have negative thoughts. He is telling us not to let the negative thoughts have power over us. You have to make, force, practice positivity till it becomes natural and over powers the negativity. The negativity will always be there, in the back of your mind. It is part of being human.
You choose to be the positive.
