This is my first time to post here at #ecoTrain community.
This photo was taken a year ago. It is a small piece of rice field left near the subdivision where we live.
Some 20 to 30 years back Cavite, particularly in Imus, are rice field areas. There soil of Imus is perfect to grow rice. I presume that farming is one of the primary source of income of people living in Imus and nearby towns.
As time goes by, as the days come and go, little by little these rice fields were converted into housing o subdivisions. In addition to that are the factories built around Cavite area.
This is the price of development in the provinces. Agricultural lands are turned into residential and/or industrial area. The uncontrollable increase of population in Cavite maybe is one of the factor.
Residents of Cavite are not anymore pure Kabitenyo. They are mix of different people coming different nearby provinces who most of them are working in Metro Manila.
