It was another one of those awfully hot and humid days with temperatures in the upper 90°s and a real feel over 105°. The kind of oppressive heat that wraps you in it's oppressive tendrils the minute you open the door to the outside world. The garden is feeling the heat as young leaves sunburn and flowers abort. A bit of homesickness has started creeping in as I witness my younger brother breaking ground for his house build with my two month old niece in the background. One of those days where you'd join the circus if you weren't already in it.
And then the sky darkened and the front changed; the temperature dropped 20 degrees and the rain came pouring down, saturating the ground, washing away the grime and leaving behind one of the most spectacular sunsets we've had in a while.
