Episode #4 of the Liberty Minded Agrarian on DLive in which I talk about Rhode Island's problem of disappearing farmers and the State's plan to keep farmers from moving away. A plan that includes buying vacant land for sale at Fair Market Value and then reselling it to farmers for the land's agricultural value, about an 80% discrepancy. Or as the case already is in some places, leasing state owned land to farmer's to grow crops for CSAs, farmer's markets and community gardens.
I also explore some free market solutions to the rising cost of living and how an individual seller can keep their land in agriculture should they deem this endeavor worthy.
