I've been a bit slow to pick up on the new tools available through the Steemit blockchain. The most recent video I've produced explain how I'm starting to catch up with the trends. Video on Viuly or...

This post is to make the formal explanation of my new and improved channel strategy as it should be a direct benefit to the people following my work and participating in the conversations I promote on Steemit. At least, if things are going to work out like I'm envisioning them too. This is an experiment, after all.

The various up-vote bots you'll see me using are serving a very important service. They allow me to apply my stored liquid value (STEEM & SBD) from previous works into my current work without locking the value up long term in Steem Power. Rather than keep the liquid currency tokens in my account I can exchange them for an approximately equivalent amount of up-votes to my active articles or videos. Effectively allowing me to back the value of my current articles with as much value from my previous writings as I choose.

This gives extra value to all of my followers, up-voters, and commenters. Upvoters and commenters are collectively earning up to 25% of the rewards my writings and videos are generating. When I use the up-vote bots I try to get solid returns for my bids which will increase my own account value, but just as importantly, all of you who are following my work and participating in my channel will begin earning substantially more value for that participation.

Basically, the up-votes I purchase are my way of backing my own work and showing my supporters that I appreciate their participation and input. I will typically wait 24 hours or so after I make my post to send the bots in with the large upvotes. This means that all of those voting and commenting in the first 24 hours will accumulate a much largers portion of earnings for their effort. This is important to know and I'll try to keep that schedule as closely as I can.

I happen to have some Bitcoin Cash burning a hole in my hard drives so I've decided to put it to use here on Steemit. This is representing my seed funding into my Steemit Channel that I'll use to promote my work and increase the value and visibility of my work.

The currency I spend for the up-votes will effectively be locked up for 6 days in my work and the derivative conversation. I know my work is valuable and I know the broad perspective I try to use while discussing these very new and complicated subjects will be helpful as more people begin migrating to the free market offered by all of the various forms the blockchain is taking. This investment I'm making is my own way of putting my digital money where my digital mouth is.

The voter bots are a tool I plan on using that perform two tasks. The way I'm planning on using them will promote my work and possibly generate some weekly returns for myself, but it also serves a very important function for everyone following my work. If I catch a bid correctly then I can purchase more than the equivalent amount of vote power from the various bot services. If you send your upvote and/or comments before I purchase the bots then your curation rewards will get a significant (relatively speaking) boost.

There is a risk I see of losing liquid tokens (some of the value is distributed to me via STEEM POWER) which would mean the seed investment will slowly be transferred from STM/SBD to SP if I don't attract an audience and start helping them build account value. There is also a risk of losing value while purchasing the Bid Bots. It isn't uncommon for the popular bot accounts to receive excess bids which means the purchaser gets less than 1.25x their purchase price in returned votes. The 25% of course being the portion that's distributed to voters and commenters.

I'll be bringing in close to a full BCH token to experiment with these promotion tools, all of which are public on the steemit platform. You the readers will be getting a portion of the 25% curation rewards my writings are earning if you are upvoting and commenting in the first 24 hours. After the large votes come in the distributed rewards are much lower.

I appreciate all of you who are following my work and upvotes / commenting in the posts I create. By consistently continuing to do this you will start to see your own curation and comment earnings increase as I boost the flow of value coming through this channel. At this time I don't have any huge amounts to use, but consistency is the name of the game and over time your curation rewards should be boosted too. This is the network effect made possible by the blockchain and I hope you all take advantage of it along with me.

Some general things to be aware of related to my future work on steemit;

  • Votes and Comments within the first 24 hours will be the most profitable for those following my work. I purposely wait a day after posting to use the promotional tools so my followers have a chance to increase their own earnings from participating in my channel.
  • Any comments adding value to the discussion, asking relevant questions related to the post subject, or expressing politeness will be upvoted by me. I really do appreciate your involvement and will do what I can to reciprocate.
  • Don't mind the bot comments on my articles. They are serving a valuable service by allowing me to apply value I've earned in the past into my current work, which also increases the value of your own participation.

If you like what you're seeing here, pass the channel along to your like minded friends so they can begin learning about digital assets and participating in the blockchain economy as well. The network effect for this channel or even the Steemit platform is incredibly powerful and we're getting close to a critical mass where adoption begins exponentially speeding up. That means Steemit won't be in the single digits for very long. The early adopters (you all upvoting this included) have a very bright Present and Future if we use our knowledge wisely to leverage our place in the New Economy.

I am not the only account exploring this method of promotion either. In it's current state of development the steemit platform is a viable working blockchain worth using as an investment. Those who have the crypto can delegate SP to these bid-bots and earn near maximum profitability for their investment into the platform. This is how the media of the future is being born, and We The People are getting to decide who and what is promoted.

This concept of using these auto-distributing vote exchanges to cycle my liquid currency within the value of my writing is a novel concept, only in the blockchain world. Authors and Journalists like Mike Cernovich and Tracy Beanz who have recently dipped their toes into the Steemit Ocean may be able to take this concept even further, as they already have substantial audiences.

Our collective time and attention is where that value is exchanged, directly between the authors and readers (and some helpful software). Steemit is an experiment in directly monetizing our ideas and conversation. This experiment has already proven very valuable and it's about to get a huge bump in users as the draconian censorship happening on the big social media sites start driving users to these new alternatives. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

P.S. - Private voter bots are options as well, for any whale looking to fund a media venture this would be a useful thought to contemplate
