As I was reading your post, I was thinking about our work life and how this idea of a finish line or retirement (also the topic of my post today) is kind of detrimental to us. I mean back in the day, you were a blacksmith until you couldn't do it anymore. There wasn't this idea of retirement, and I think that idea of working to a point then just floating is a bit detrimental to us. I see it with my dad. He worked on his feet in a factory for 30 years, when he was done he just wanted to sit, but now the health impact of just sitting is creeping in.
