I definitely think community is failing, but I also think a good portion of it has to do with the fact that people are just weird these days. I mean, let's say I have a group of ten people at work that are available for me to bring in as part of my community. One of them identifies as a fury, two of them are trying to be influencers and have basically become oblivious to the real world. Let's say three more either have severe mental issues or think they have severe mental issues that it makes it difficult to even be around them. Two more are so far away from me on the political spectrum in terms of decent human rights that I can't imagine how they exist in this world, and that leaves you a pool of what two or three people to choose from to bring in your community. Obviously I am using extreme examples, but you get it. The fury thing isn't really as common as people seem to think!
