Yes, it should have all come out right at the beginning. It's far too late now for anything to actually come from it. Both sides have already cemented their narrative and rhetoric so that the followers are unwilling to accept the fact that something else might actually be true. I was reading the comments of a story about the emails today and what I said above became quite apparent as I scrolled through comment after comment.
