Personally, I don't see a lot of issue with your analogy of a dictionary. You are still looking up the data, just in a different format. I see it the same way as reading a news story on your phone. Same information, just a different format. The problem is when the technology eliminates steps in the journey from point A to point B. In my opinion anyway!
