I wonder if the people who didn't like it felt like it hit a little too close to home and they just didn't want to admit it! I'm reading a pretty quick book right now that Michael Crichton wrote before he got famous. He apparently wrote a bunch of books under a couple different names and they are re-releasing them. It's from 1968 and it's called "Easy Go".
