Oh man, did she say yes? She looks very stoic and serious in the photos, or did she kind of know it was coming? Either way, I think the photos turned out well. My wife has made us a dish in the past that uses lentils and grits with a tomato based sauce. It's very flavorful and good. She eats it just like that, but I tend to add pulled pork to it. I just can't change! :)
