Can't say as though I have ever heard of this one. It does sound pretty funny though. My wife and I enjoy watching Abbott Elementary, there are some things that don't quite hit, but then some other things they nail it right on the head and we find ourselves laughing out loud. My guess is the kid in the cage is some jab at the whole inclusion thing they are pushing these days. That's the first thing that came to my mind anyway.
