I don't think you will notice a difference until you... you know. I remember when our dog was a puppy and she had her first dewormer. It was shocking just how much was in her system. Poor thing! I will be honest, I was shocked by your title at first too, but it does make a lot of sense. Like your friends said, given the conditions and all, why not take that extra precaution.
