We have a dehumidifier in our basement that runs pretty much all the time in the summer. I sometimes have to empty it twice a day and it has a pretty big reservoir. Like a gallon or two I think. We are on our second one because the first one fried. I didn't realize it had a filter in it and it was working so hard because the filter was so dirty that it burned up after a few years. Now I clean the filter on the new one pretty regularly. I hope this makes a difference for you.
