Personally, the biggest issue I have with the AI is more egregious than a deceased dolphin... No trip to the Jameson or RedBreast distilleries? Unacceptable! :) My sister in law went over there a while ago and visited Donegal and Arranmore. They have relatives there I think. She is from Beaver Island in the middle of Lake Michigan which has a lot of Irish ties. Since you have been to Montreal before, that would be a good test of how good of a job it does.
