I think if the guy got away clean it's pretty much a patsy case at this point. They will spin the narrative the way they want and stoke the separation even more. I wasn't really familiar with the guy either, but I had heard some of his positions on things and I can't say I was a fan of his ideology. He still had a right to shovel it out to people. Odd thing is there was also a school shooting that day and the two Democrats that got killed a while ago and the uproar wasn't nearly as big. People get outraged at what they are told to be outraged at.
