I think at this point a lot of people are just trying to save face. They will never admit they screwed up, instead they double down on their opinion either half heartedly or whole heartedly. Kind of like abusers on HIVE! :) Like you said, they will still vote the same way they did before hoping this time they will be able to say they were right.
