It pulled it right from the CoinGecko API, so I am guessing the issue is probably there. It was also before HIVE even existed, so I think it might have been using the historic price of STEEM.

I think you are right, they probably got your PII from some data breach. Even when places get hacked and the attackers don't get usernames and passwords, they sometimes still get directory information
