It's easy to forget this time of year with the immense amount of football that is on the TV, that baseball is still happening too. This weekend was perfect example of that giving us four games no Saturday which a lot of people might have missed if they were solely focused on college football. Then on Sunday, the NFL had to compete with another two games in the American League Division Series and the National League Division Series.

Things started off strong in the ALDS with a shutout victory by the Chicago White Sox 3 to 0 against the Cleveland Guardians. In the other ALDS game, the Tampa Bay Rays had a slim 1 to 0 shut out victory themselves over the New York Yankees.

Meanwhile, over in the NLDS, The Atlanta Braves took a tough loss against the LA Dodgers 5 to 3, and The San Diego Padres had an even closer loss against the Milwaukee Brewers 3 to 2.

That set things up for NLDS game two on Sunday with the Brewers racking up another win against the Padres 4 to 3. Meanwhile, the Braves bounced back and snagged a 3 to 2 victory from the Dodgers to even up that series.

Monday picked up where Saturday left off with game two of the ALDS. Chicago extended their lead in the best of five series to two games with a 4 to 3 win over Cleveland. Likewise, the Rays started to shut the door on the Yankess with a 5 to 2 win putting them up two games to zero in the series.

Last night, we moved into game three of the NLDS where the Dodgers bounced back and took a two game to one game lead in the series with a 3 to 1 win over the Braves. Likewise, the Padres saved themselves from elimination with a 4 to 3 win over Milwaukee. Is this just a matter of San Diego staying alive, so will they mount an epic comeback after being down two games?

Game 4 takes place in the NLDS tonight, where we could see LA and Milwaukee punch their ticket to the championship game. Meanwhile, The White Sox/Guardians and Rays/Yankees game 3 is also today. With the Rays and the Sox being up 2 games to 0, this is a must win for Cleveland and New York.

Sadly, I won't be able to watch any of the games because I will be heading down state to watch my nephew play football. Which isn't a bad thing, it just means I can't watch baseball.

On a side note, I wanted to point out the fact that the softball game between Radford and Virginia Tech ended up not happening last weekend. There was a storm system moving in, so they pushed the game to a later date. Instead of spending the weekend doing nothing, our niece decided to drive back home to Ohio to be with her family.
