Cacti or cactus can grow for a long time without water. Cacti are commonly found in dry areas (deserts). Cacti have long roots to find water and widen the absorption of water in the soil. The water that the cactus absorbs is stored in the space on the stem. Cactus also has leaves that change shape to thorns so that it can reduce evaporation of water through the leaves. Therefore, cacti can grow for a long time without water.
