After a long break from photographing, yesterday I went back to trying the streets by bicycle. This time the object I am aiming for is the Lamteh area, Aceh Besar. This is an area located at the tip of Sumatra Island, near the Indian Ocean.
Lamteh has historical records from the era of the Aceh Darussalam Sultanate. Near this area there are ancient sites of the Indrapurwa Kingdom.
I see that there are several Aceh gravestones scattered in this area. Precisely in the area of a fish pond owned by local residents.
In this area there is also Balai Ikrar Lamteh, where the peaceful declaration of Darul Islam fighters in the 1950s returned to the bosom of the state: Indonesia.
Not far from the area, there is a short bridge that divides the people's pond area. This bridge has recently been transformed into a tourist area. There are several food stalls with the main menu of grilled fish. A very interesting place to watch the sun set.
