Our opening Scripture tells us that God has chosen us in Christ Jesus as His witnesses to believe Him, and understand that He is the Lord and there is none besides Him, that we might spread the fragrance of His knowledge to the ends of the world. 2Corinthians 2:14 tells us that God makes manifest the fragrance of His knowledge by us in every place. You have to begin to see yourself as God‘s living witness, to witness of His power, goodness and faithfulness. Your life will tell the message of the Gospel louder and better than your mouth can and will. Yes, we have to tell it with our mouth. We must not stop telling it with our mouth. Nevertheless we must be that message to our world. That is what it means to be a living witness of God to our world.
Matthew 5:16 tells us ”Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."There is something that the Gentiles and kings of the earth are coming to. Isaiah 60:1-3 tells us that they are coming to our light, and to the brightness of our rising. God has made you His witness to tell the good news and be a living testimony of it to the world. He wants you to live out the message of the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Nothing tells the truth more powerfully than the life that is telling it. Paul told the Thessalonian brethren ”Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe.” He was a living witness of the Gospel that he preached.
