Excellent poem. I love it.

#1 was actually inspired/set in motion by one of your comments. It said something about poets/artists being able to see the gaps between worlds. (Or something along those lines.)

While going to work the next day, I noticed myself slipping into what felt like a tunnel, a space in between the stresses and busyness of being at home and the stress and busyness of being at work.

Rather than think about the things that bothered me in the morning and the things that I’ll have to do as soon as I get to work, I tend to just look around and see things. That’s when I remembered your comment and the poem began to form.

Then, the next day, after posting it to threads, I left my house, got on my bike and started riding to work. Before I got to the end of the street, I came across a patch of white rose petals on the pavement, and I thought, You see. There it is.

The timing was perfect.
