IndonesiaLhokseumawe | Kabandaerah.com- Aceh Arts Council (DKA) Lhokseumawe held Rapai Uroh to get a record muri. The event took place on (Sunday 12/11/2017) in the field of Hirak Kota Lhokseumawe Banda Sakti sub-district at approximately 16:30 pm.
A total of 400 drummers Rapai Uroh divided into 26 groups, one group of 15 people, all from 24 villages in the city of Lhokseumawe, they hit rapai simultaneously and in barengi top daboh attraction (extreme appearance use a knife)
The event was opened directly by the Vice Mayor of Lhokseumawe Muhammad Yusuf accompanied by Muspida Plus marked by beating. Attending the event were Head of Culture and Tourism Office of Aceh, Reza Fahlevi, Head of Bank Indonesia representative of Lhokseumawe and Muspida plus element and Muri Record Assessment Team from Jakarta.
"As many as 400 drummers came from 26 groups of rapai located in Muara Dua, Blang Mangat and Muara Satu subdistricts," said Nazaruddin, chairman of DKA Lhokseumawe.
He continued, Rapai Uroh is a cultural art icon of Lhokseumawe city. Rapai Uroh still exists in Aceh conflict and in the peace period as it is today.
"Hopefully with this cultural arts event, it can increase the people's love for local cultural arts," closed the chairman of DKA Lhokseumawe.
