Cities are built not only in the desert, but also where there used to be vegetation. Vegetation is certainly destroyed. But still there are interesting places and camera angles for shooting. Here is a place I found on the other side of the river, through the gap among the trees you can see the houses that do not fit into the background of the forest at all.
