Today is celebrated as Children's Day nationwide and kids a over are enjoined to partake.
Church was lit up today by the kids, the Sunday mass started by 7:00am with the kids singing the entrance hymn, the visiting parish priest gave admonition to the kids and also highlight one but in kids training these days which is the neglect of cultural values, like not been able to speak the mother tongue, forgetting totally where you come from and so on, kids are enjoined to obey there parent, with parent also not soaring the rod for the child.
We did ours in the church and it was awesome seeing kids do some amazing things, memory verses were given by them, they are the one in charge of most things in church today, in the choir, taking the Bible reading as lectors, as church warden and many more, they had a cultural dance.
Funny enough Children's Day is celebrated on differerent days of the year, Nigeria celebrate her own on the 27th of May, the only country that do so in the world. The Children's Day is a day to reflect on the child as a subject in the family and the nation at large, various groups are coming with Innitiave to involve them but among them all are NGOs raised to support children with #autism.
My day ended well with some cool pictures taken in church today.
