Last week finally the camera accessories I had ordered came. Included was a macro extension tube set from Meike. So, this week I tried them for the 1st time.
Letzte Woche kam endlich das Kamerazubehör, das ich bestellt hatte, darunter auch ein Makrozwischenringset von Meike. Also habe ich sie diese Woche erstmals ausprobiert.
The first try was a miserable failure, because it was dark when I noticed some snails underneath the roses & thought this might be a good opportunity to try the biggest tube of 31mm. But because of the dark I couldn't see what to focus on & so I deleted almost all of the pics.
Der allererste Versuch ging miserabel daneben, da es schon dunkel war, als ich unter den Rosen ein paar Schnecken bemerkte & dachte, das sei eine gute Möglichkeit, den größten Zwischenring von 31 mm auszuprobieren. Wegen der Dunkelheit konnte ich aber nicht sehen, worauf ich fokussieren könnte & so mußte ich danach fast alle Bilder löschen.
Because you have to get really close with the 31mm-tube, I decided to use the 11mm extension for the next try. The above pictures (probably showing some kind of allium were taken without it, just the normal macro of my standard zoom. Then I used the macro tube as close up as possible:
Da man mit dem 31mm-Ring sehr nah ran muß, entschied ich mich, beim nächstenmal nur den 11er zu benutzen. Die obigen Bilder (die vermutlich eine Art Lauch zeigen) habe ich zunächst ohne den Zwischenring gemacht. Danach ging ich mit installiertem Ring so nah ran wie möglich:
A huge difference. & that's only the macro extension with the smalles effect. I'm rather satisfied. What's also good: At least with the smaller one, you can also use the zoom. So, when I zoomed out a bit, it still worked fine:
Großer Unterschied. & das ist der Makroring mit dem geringsten Effekt. Bin recht zufrieden. Auch gut: Zumindest mit dem 11er funktioniert der Zoom einwandfrei. Ein bißchen rausgezoomt:
The macro extension tubes I bought were among the cheapest on offer, but they seem to work very well. There were no problems with the autofocus of my Canon EOS 1300D.
Die Zwischenringe, die ich gekauft habe, waren unter den billigsten, die es gab, aber sie scheinen sehr gut zu funktionieren. Es gab auch keine Probleme mit dem Autofokus meiner EOS 1300D.

That's just the internal macro doing the job on some kind of blue jasmine. Using the 11mm tube it gets much closer:
Das war nur das interne Makro des Zoomobjektivs, das sich an einer Art Bleiwurz abarbeitet. Mit dem 11mm-Ring kommt man deutlich näher ran:
Near the allium I also saw some ants transporting some kind of wasp. The details here are really clear.
In der Nähe des Lauchs entdeckte ich ein paar Ameisen, die eine Art Wespe transportierten. Sehr detailliert:
That was supposed to be all of the macro testing. It was rather early in the morning & I hoped to find some lizards warming up in the sun. But it was probably already too late or I was in the wrong place. Instead of lizards, I found this:
Das hätte der Makrotest gewesen sein sollen. Es war recht früh am Morgen & ich hatte gehofft, ein paar Eidechsen beim Aufwärmen zu finden. Aber wahrscheinlich war es dafür schon zu spät oder ich war am falschen Ort. Statt Eidechsen fand ich dies:
Roadkill in form of a snake. It must have been quite a beast, almost 1m long, I think. But I digress, back to macro: Ants had found the corpse & were busy taking it apart.
Eine überfahrene Schlange. Muß ein ziemliches Viech gewesen sein, fast 1m lang, schätze ich. Aber ich schweife ab, zurück zum Makro: Ameisen hatten die Leiche gefunden & waren dabei, sie auseinanderzunehmen.
These pics were cut out of the original photos because I couldn't get that close. But even so, the details are still clearly visible.
Das sind aber nur Ausschnitte aus den Originalbildern, da ich nicht gar so nah rankam. Trotzdem sind die Details gut sichtbar.
That's that for the macro adventures. The same day I also tried my new teleconverter. But that's material for another post.
Das war's dann mit den Makroabenteuern. Am gleichen Tag habe ich auch meinen neuen Telekonverter ausprobiert. Aber das ist Material für einen anderen Beitrag.
