Life itself is a journey that has its twist and turns that makes it by far interesting.
What's so amazing is the lessons and experience we go through on the way getting to where we are.
Today, cryptocurrency has evolve from just being digital money to the future money that is here to revolutionalize the conception of life.
We all have a starting point in all our endeavours, and one of the best decisions I've made in my life is joining the cryptosphere.
It doesn't actually matter how far the journey has been what matters is where we are at now.
I just couldn't shake the thoughts of where and what I would have been doing if not because of crypto.
I certainly know I'm lazy and I've been called lazy numerous times but that's what it is. I recall a quote from Bill Gates, I'd rather employ lazy people because they would find the shortest way to do the hardest things. I know this actually sounds like I'm supporting myself and yes, I am.
My Crypto Journey
I started crypto out of FOMO, back in 2018 when life hit hard at me. The trend making a wave was Forex trading, I wasn't having enough cash to learn trading so I sought for help and started learning through babypips but that was just for knowledge nothing solid. Then this friend in lagos, Emmanuel was always talking Crypto and making a show of what he had gotten for himself through cryptocurrency.
Yes, I had heard about crypto a couple of times and I knew he started with forex trading at first.
I had contacted him about forex trading and he requested an amount I couldn't afford and now he was making it again with crypto.
I had to jump on the crypto wagon by starting off with Luno. Luno is an app in which one could buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin with the smallest amount at least #500 approximately $2, that sounded sweet to me.
Without much ado, I started buying as little as #500 each week and that was just BTC, ETH and XRP. I was expecting some kind of explosion due to stories of people I was hearing, I didn't know I was buying Bitcoin and Ethereum when they had already hit their all time high all I knew was that I was now into cryptocurrency.
I was always checking my wallet every minute expecting some kind of magic, isn't that what crypto is all about?
I certainly laugh today.
The next was then in 2020 when a colleague in college told me about his friends that made it big time collecting airdrops. I had no idea about the type of coin, what blockchain they were under, if it had a good use case, the liquidity of the coin. All that was on my mind was I just wanted to be called the crypto guy and make the magic explosion happen to me.
The airdrops were mainly in discord, joining one channel to the next, and oh, sorry it wasn't happening as expected.
My final stop which is where I'm at today is hive.
Really, the amount of information I've gotten from here is just enormous that has made me realise more than enough especially through leofinance.
I still got my Luno wallet which is still short of $100 in earnings.
Hive would be the height of my crypto journey because it made me learn a lot from community members and as I mentioned the leofinance community.
Now, one has to put in the time and dedication to grow their account while still staking tokens on hive engine.
I'd say now all my earnings are all revolved around the hive ecosystem and finally, I know in 5-10years I'd be all smiles from my work on the blockchain because I realise it's not as rosy as I thought.
There's actually no magic, no overnight success just without no work being done.
