Books are beautiful
From a very early age I loved books. Read my first one, which was Winnetou Part 1, at the age of eight. The book instantly made me realize that a whole world lies between all those letters and I liked the feeling of paper pages in my hands. Since those early days I read hundreds, probably even a thousand books!
My favourite stories
Of all these books I enjoyed over the last decades I liked quite a lot, especially fantasy, Sci-Fi and adventure Stories. But there are some that stand out, that where brilliant and my favorites, that I read twice or more often since they are so good in my view:
• Frank Herbert - Dune
• Stephen King - 11/22/63
• Robert Galbraight - Career of Evil
• Ernest Cline - Ready Player One
• Haruki Murakami - What I talk about when I talk about running
• Michael Ende - Momo
• Hugh Howey - Silo Series
• John Grisham - The Broker
And of course I read also quite a few about Bitcoin and Blockchain like The Bitcoin Standard or 21 Lessons, which are both great books to explore the rabbit hole. Which leads me to the next point…
Reading is learning
While you read you not only dive into the stories and adventures, you also learn a lot. About human behavior, relations and emotions, about topics like technology, physics or finance, about mindset and life in general. That’s apart from the entertainment, excitement and joy the other positive side of reading. For me, I have learned a lot from books, starting with spelling of words, English vocabulary, ideas of smart men and women or values like friendship, trust and freedom.
Are you also a reader? What are your favourite books?
