Markets Climb, Fury Plays On
The current market situation made me think of a song by Fury in the Slaughterhouse: “This is not the time to wonder, this is not the time to cry,” they sing. And honestly, if you feel the FOMO right now or you’re surprised how the S&P keeps climbing higher every week despite all the macro challenges just remember that song.
Don’t cry because you are not invested. But this is also not the time to FOMO in.
And if you are invested, don’t wonder too much, just enjoy it while it lasts.
Because this rally won’t last forever. US debt keeps rising higher and higher, and the Fed is not as dovish as many expected. Even if Kevin Warsh is now in charge, he doesn’t decide alone. Powell is still on the Board, and inflation pressure remains elevated, especially with oil prices staying high.
And despite all of that, just take a moment to enjoy the great song, one that is full of energy.
