No Trading Monday
Just in: Wall Street is closed on Monday. No stock trading, it’s Presidents Day, guys.
Presidents Day is a U.S. federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February each year.
Originally, it honored George Washington, whose birthday is February 22. Over time, it evolved into a day recognizing all U.S. presidents, especially Abraham Lincoln, born February 12.
The official federal name is still Washington’s Birthday, but most people and businesses simply call it Presidents Day.

Anyway, don’t get nervous. On Tuesday everything’s open again, and U.S. markets can start setting the tone for global markets once more.
