The day of departure has arrived. It's time to go home after five weeks on the Greek island of Corfu. The ferry to the mainland, to the coastal town of Igoumenitsa, takes about 90 minutes. The sea is calm today, but the weather is changeable and cloudy.
The weather on Corfu is still mild, with daytime temperatures between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius. However, it rains a lot and there are often heavy thunderstorms at night. This is why the island is very fertile and is also called the “Green Island.”

Der Tag des Abschieds ist gekommen. Es geht wieder nach Hause, nach fünf Wochen auf der griechischen Insel Korfu. Die Fähre aufs Festland, in die Küstenstadt Igoumenitsa, braucht etwa 90 Minuten. Die See ist ruhig heute aber es ist wechselhaft und bewölkt.
Das Wetter auf Korfu ist noch immer mild, tagsüber zwischen 14-20 Grad. Dafür regnet es mittlerweile viel und oft sind in der Nacht teils heftige Gewitter. Deshalb ist die Insel auch sehr fruchtbar und wird auch die „Grüne Insel“ genannt.
