In 2019, Brussels’ financial district was a misty wonderland—skyscrapers disappearing into the fog like your plans for a stress-free week. It was peak noir detective movie vibes, except instead of solving crimes, I was chasing deadlines fueled by bad coffee and existential dread. The mist was relentless, as if Brussels itself needed a dramatic filter for the daily grind.
Walking to work through that haze felt symbolic—everything unclear, but you kept moving forward anyway. The city buzzed under the mist’s grip, with its imposing towers silently judging your procrastination.
2024: Mist 2.0, Nature Edition
Now, same date, different scene. The mist is still here, but instead of Brussels’ cold metal and glass, it hugs serene lakes, swans, and power lines. The swan? A vibe. The canal? Straight out of a Nordic thriller. The mist? Still the star, adding a cozy mystery to my mornings.
The vibe shift is real. Back then, the fog veiled ambition and hustle; today, it’s a call to slow down and appreciate life’s softer edges. It’s like the mist knows I’ve traded caffeine-fueled sprints for peaceful walks and photography.
What the Mist Taught Me
The mist’s lesson? Life doesn’t always give you clarity right away, but it forces you to slow down and pay attention. In Brussels, it symbolized resilience. Today, it represents presence. Same mist, different me.
