Let’s file this one under “accidentally overachieving on a Monday.” Planned a short leg-stretch over lunch, but momentum (and maybe mild existential dread) carried me to a 6km stroll. Not bad for a one-hour break between meetings and inbox battles.

The weather? Classic winter greys. Sky like a used eraser. But the reflections on the water, those were crisp enough to make a photographer pause. Boats anchored like they were in a painting. Leafless trees turning canal banks into a minimalist sketchbook. Even a power line looked kind of poetic in the mirror stillness of the water.

No sweat, no PRs, no finish line, just a reminder that movement doesn’t need to be epic to matter. Sometimes, it’s just about stepping away, catching a breath, and letting the scenery surprise you.

6km. One hour. A slightly better version of me at the end of it.
