Some walks feel like floating. Others feel like wading through cement. Today? Definitely the second kind.
Started the morning hopeful—no rain, just a bitter wind. But within 1km, my legs cramped like I’d never walked before. Adjusted pace, took short breaks, but at 1.5km, I turned back. And it stung, because I’ve walked 100km with barely a pause.
But quitting? Not today. Went for round two at lunch, and things were already better. Not perfect, but better. Managed 4.5km before work called me back. Total for the day? 9km and 12.5k steps.
Lesson of the day: not every walk is about hitting a new PR. Some are about proving to yourself that even on the tough days, you still show up. Tomorrow is a new day—and I’ll be back out there.
