Have you ever been in a situation where the image of a particular person keep appearing in your mind? And sometimes when this happens you don't know if it is God trying to speak to you or just your Imagination.

Most at times when such thing happens to us as a believer, it is God insisting. When we start experiencing this, God is trying to tell you to check up on that person. One of the sign that it is God speaking to you is that even after you ignore the first one, the image of that's person will appear again. God wants you to either check up on that person or intercede for him or her.
Psalm 62:11

When God speaks to you once and you refuse to respond to it, in your daily activities that same thing will keep appearing in your heart, in different occasions, till you obey and do what he wants you to do.
That is why you must build a strong relationship with God to the extent that you can recognize when he speaks. And also when he speaks be willing to listen, obey and act on what he has instructed you to do.
